K-pop soloist Yuju and rapper Big Naughty team up for new single ‘Evening’

  • K-pop soloist and former Gfriend member Yuju dropped her new single “Evening” in collaboration with South Korean rapper Big Naughty today.
  • This is Yuju’s latest music project since her solo debut mini-album “Rec.,” which was released under Kang Daniel’s Konnect Entertainment in January.
  • Big Naughty of H1ghr Music released his album “Nangman” earlier this year, featuring artists such as Jay Park, Changmo, pH-1 and 10cm.
  • Former Gfriend members SinB, Eunha and Umji, who are now in the girl group Viviz, released their second mini-album “Summer Vibe” this month and competed on Season 2 of “Queendom,” while Yerin, another former Gfriend member, released her solo album “Aria” in May.

K-pop soloist and former Gfriend member Yuju has joined forces with South Korean rapper Big Naughty for the new single “Evening.”

The single, which was released today, is Yuju’s latest music project since the release of her solo debut mini-album “Rec.” in January, led by the title track and music video “Play.” Every track on the album was co-written by Yuju, and she co-produced the tracks “겨우, 겨울” and “The Killa.”

Big Naughty of H1gher Music released his album “Nangman” earlier this year, featuring artists such as Jay Park, Changmo, pH-1 and 10cm. The lead track “Romance Symphony” features Jay Park and Changmo. 

Meanwhile, Yuju’s former group mates SinB, Eunha and Umji, who now make up the trio Viviz, dropped their second mini-album earlier this month, led by the title track “Loveade.” They also competed on the second season of the Mnet reality idol show “Queendom” alongside other female artists such as Loona, Hyolyn and WJSN. Yerin, another former Gfriend member, also released a solo project in May with the album “Aria.”  

Yuju has been signed to Kang Daniel’s Konnect Entertainment ever since her departure from the Hybe subsidiary label Source Music back in September 2021.
