Studio Ghibli has recently released a short video of Ghibli Park, showcasing some of the theme park’s attractions in Japan’s Aichi prefecture.
Ghibli Park, which is located at Aichi Expo Memorial Park in Nagakute, Aichi, is inspired by the beloved films of Hayao Miyazaki and his animation studio.
Starting on Nov. 1, fans can take a stroll around the theme park’s first attractions, including the Grand Warehouse, the Hill of Youth and Dondoko Forest.
On Thursday, Studio Ghibli teased fans with footage of anticipated iconic landmarks, such as replicas of the Earth Shop from “Whisper of the Heart,” Satsuki and Mei’s house from “My Neighbor Totoro” and a glimpse of Dondoko Forest.

The video also showed exhibits located in Ghibli’s Grand Warehouse, which is an indoor facility that houses a cinema, a cafe, shops and other immersive exhibits from the animation studio’s beloved films.

The theme park’s Cinema Orion, which will seat around 170 people, will reportedly be showcasing 10 animated short films only shown in the Ghibli Museum in Mitaka, Tokyo.

The Valley of Witches, inspired by the 1989 film “Kiki’s Delivery Service,” and Mononoke Village, inspired by 1997 film “Princess Mononoke,” are expected to open in 2023.

“There is enough in Ghibli’s Grand Warehouse for people to enjoy for two or three hours. I want everyone to see it soon,” Aichi Gov. Hideaki Omura said at a press conference.
