It is fitting that AleXa is touring across the country after winning the inaugural season of “American Song Contest” back in May. The show’s premise was inspired by “Eurovision” and had artists representing each state and U.S. territory impress a 56-person jury and compete for America’s votes.
A clip of her following her win went viral as the trophy she was given broke within mere moments.
Prior to her crowning victory, she spoke to NextShark over Zoom to discuss what winning as an American-born K-pop artist would mean to her.
