J-Hope to become first Korean headliner for major US music festival main stage at Lollapalooza

  • BTS member J-Hope is set to make history as the first South Korean artist to headline the main stage of a major U.S. music festival at this year’s Lollapalooza.
  • Lollapalooza Festival will take place in Chicago’s Grant Park from July 28-31, with J-Hope as a closing performer on the last day.
  • Also announced for Lollapalooza is BTS labelmate group TXT, who will be making their U.S. music festival debut on the July 30.
  • Other artists at the festival include Zhu, Audrey Nuna, Kygo, Dua Lipa and Green Day.

BTS member J-Hope is set to headline at Lollapalooza in Chicago’s Grant Park, making him the first South Korean artist headliner on the main stage of a major U.S. music festival. 

The BTS rapper and dancer will help close out the four-day festival from July 28-31. He and his fellow group members have been keeping busy with an upcoming album, visiting the White House and returning to Korean music stages.

J-Hope’s Big Hit labelmates, the K-pop boy group TXT (Tomorrow X Together), are also set to make their U.S. festival debut at Lollapalooza. The five-member group will perform on July 30. 

TXT’s most recent comeback was the EP “Minisode 2: Thursday’s Child,” which was released last month with the title track “Good Boy Gone Bad.”
