Chow Yun Fat Spotted Waiting in Line to Watch His Own Movie With His Wife

Unless it’s the red carpet premier, spotting a movie star in line waiting to watch his own movie is a rare sight to behold.

Fans waiting in line at a Hong Kong cinema last Thursday night were surprised to find that the actor cast in one of the films playing was standing among them. Chow Yun-fat, who is known for his roles in movies like “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon” and “Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End,” was apparently in line with his wife, Jasmine Tan.

According to Shanghaiist, the two were waiting to buy tickets for the newly-released Hong Kong-Chinese crime thriller “Cold War 2.” The movie is the sequel to the 2012 movie, which included stars like Aaron Kwok and Tony Leung.

Chow was instantly identified by fans who were eager to get selfies with the actor as well as signed autographs.

The actor is known for his generosity and announced his decision in 2014 to donate his entire $164 million fortune to charity after his death.

Chow, who brought in $18 million, ranked number 24 on Forbes’ list of world’s highest paid actors in 2015.
