We’ve all heard of stories where proposing men crash and burn despite their offerings of modern works or art or engagement rings that didn’t live up to to the woman’s standards. Risking it all, one man may have discovered the proposal gift that could make any woman say yes.
On a rainy day in front of a crowd, the man, a student at the Nanchang Teachers College in southeastern China, decorated his car and dropped to one knee to propose to his girlfriend. In his hand he presented a bouquet, only the flowers were actually cold hard cash.
The bouquet in total was made of 5,000 RMB, or about $761. Presented with the modest bouquet of cash, she fortunately said “yes”, sparing him of the potential public humiliation.
Some might not call it thoughtful, but who can say no to straight up cash?
