BTS to Make History With the Largest Stadium Concert of Any Korean Artist in the U.S. Ever

BTS will set another milestone as the first K-pop act to perform in a U.S. stadium on Oct. 6.

The stadium show in Citi Field, New York marks the end of the North American leg of the group’s world tour, which kicks off in Seoul on Aug. 25. Tickets will start selling on Aug. 17 at 4 p.m. EST.

Located in Queens, Citi Field, home of the New York Mets, has a capacity of 40,000, according to local promoter Powerhouse Live. Apparently, this will also be the largest concert of any Korean artist in the U.S. to date.

“We will visit more cities, and I think we will definitely be like, adding more stages. I don’t know the particular time of when we will be coming back [to the U.S.], but it will definitely be doper and bigger,” leader Rap Monster told ET last year.

Tickets before and after the Citi Field show, except those in Japan, are completely sold out.

Other U.S. locations include Staples Center and Oracle Arena in California, Fort Worth Convention Center in Texas, Prudential Center in New Jersey and United Center in Illinois.

The hype is clearly real as BTS returns with a new album, “Love Yourself: Answer,” on Aug. 24.

The septet previously made history with their latest album, “Love Yourself: Tear,” which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart.

Released on May 18, “Tear” scored 135,000 equivalent units in the week ending on May 24. These included 100,000 traditional album sales, 26,000 streams and 9,000 track equivalent albums.
