BTS’ RM and Balming Tiger drop new collaboration single ‘Sexy Nukim’

  • BTS leader RM and South Korean musical collective Balming Tiger released their collaboration single "Sexy Nukim" on Thursday.
  • This marks RM’s first solo endeavor following BTS’ announcement of a temporary group break in June.
  • Balming Tiger, a self-described “multi-national alternative K-pop group" and musical collective made up of rappers, music directors, singer-songwriters and more, debuted in 2018 with the song “I’m Sick.”
  • In July, RM shared with fans that his solo album is nearly finished.

BTS leader RM and South Korean musical collective Balming Tiger have joined forces for the new collaboration single “Sexy Nukim.”

The song is RM’s first solo endeavor since BTS announced a temporary group break in June to pursue individual projects.

BTS’ official Twitter account first teased the collaboration on Aug. 24 with a special illustration.

Balming Tiger is self-described as a “multi-national alternative K-pop group” and musical collective made up of rappers, music directors, singer-songwriters and more.

The Sony Music talents debuted in 2018 with the song “I’m Sick.” Their collaboration with RM is their latest music project following last year’s “Loop?” and “Just Fun.” The group’s current members are director San Yawn, rapper Omega Sapien, DJ Abyss, music video directors Jan’Qui and Leesuho, editor Henson and singer-songwriters Sogumm, Wnjn and Mudd the Student.

As for RM, there is more music “Yet To Come.” The BTS leader has previously teased an album currently in the works — during a livestream back in April, the rapper said, “I’m inviting really interesting and unexpected people to my album.”

In another livestream on Weverse in July, RM gave his fans an update, saying, “I’m near the end of my work on the album. I don’t know how things will go from now [on], but I will probably be the next member after J-Hope to release my solo album.”

RM’s update came shortly after J-Hope dropped his solo album “Jack in the Box,” led by the title track “Arson.” J-Hope made history this summer as the first South Korean artist to headline Lollapalooza. Fellow BTS member Jungkook, whose birthday is on Thursday, released the collaboration single “Left and Right” with Charlie Puth in June. Last month, BTS members Jungkook, Jimin, V and Jin were featured on Benny Blanco’s track “Bad Decisions” with Snoop Dogg.
