South Korean super group BTS has a special collaboration with rapper Nicki Minaj in their latest album, and fandoms of the two acts are going crazy over it.
The album “Love Yourself: Answer,” released by the popular K-pop boy band on Friday, includes a digital version of the song “Idol” featuring the rap queen.
At a recent press conference, BTS member RM revealed how they ended up collaborating with Minaj:
“We thought the song would come alive with Nicki Minaj’s rapping, so we sent a request. Nicki Minaj’s side accepted, so it came to be,” the 23-year-old rapper was quoted as saying. “Nicki Minaj is also actively promoting the song on social media. We are thankful that she is promoting it a lot.”
The surprise collab has thrilled the BTS fandom Army and Minaj’s The Barbz, igniting a social media frenzy.
