K-pop superstars Blackpink released an announcement trailer on Sunday detailing a time frame for their upcoming releases, including a new comeback music video, album and world tour.
The 30-second trailer, titled “Born Pink,” shows pink smoke and an instrumental snippet from a potential future song. The end of the trailer details that a pre-release single is set for August, the group’s new album will drop in September and their world tour will start in October.
In other Blackpink news, OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder teased his possible involvement in the group’s upcoming album during his appearance on “Good Morning America” last month. Meanwhile, Blackpink member Jennie appeared in a controversial HBO drama series called “The Idol,” while Rolling Stone Korea issued an apology for passages written in their July 5 Blackpink column which described Thai member Lisa as having an “exotic appearance” and claimed that member Jisoo “does not possess the most outstanding talent in the group as a vocalist or dancer.”
In May, Blackpink made history as the first all-Asian female group to be featured on the cover of Rolling Stone.
