- Korean girl group Blackpink has officially made history as the first all-Asian female group to be featured on the cover of Rolling Stone.

- The four-member group also became the third all-female band to be featured on the magazine’s cover after the Spice Girls and Destiny's Child.
Korean girl group Blackpink has officially made history as the first all-Asian female group to be featured on the cover of Rolling Stone.
The news, which was teased as a huge Blackpink x Rolling Stone project over the weekend, was announced via Twitter at 5 a.m. PDT and 8 a.m. EDT on Monday.

The magazine is set to celebrate Blackpink x Rolling Stone “all week long with digital covers, exclusive interviews, and more.”

In addition to officially becoming the first all-Asian female group to be featured on a Rolling Stone cover, the four-member group – consisting of Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa and Rosé – became the third all-female band to grace the magazine’s cover after the Spice Girls and Destiny’s Child.
As a surprise bonus, Rolling Stone is also hawking a collector’s edition box set featuring Blackpink for $129. The box set includes special items such as a 44-page zine with an alternate group cover, a sticker sheet and four Blackpink prints shot by photographer Peter Ash Lee exclusively for Rolling Stone.
